       *Social Studies: focus on making good choices at school
       *Math: identifying numbers in the world around us
       *Reading: parts of a book - front cover, back cover, spine, title


You can help at home by practicing sight words, looking for numbers, reading with your child, and discussing good choices while at school.

Let's Go Fly a Kite!


The kindergarten students made and flew kites last week to finish up our weather unit. We thought we would get rained out, but we were very fortunate to experiment with our hand-made kites. 



I love the picture above.  It really captures the flight!

We used a YouTube video as a tutorial to make a kite!  The students had a lot of fun!

Ducks! Ducks! Ducks!

Our kindergarten class has taken on the task of "Mother Duck!"  We are in the process of learning about the life cycle if Muscovy Ducks. We received our eggs and began our incubation journey last Wednesday, April 16th. 

Here is our "Mother Duck" for the day, Shiann!

The "Mother Ducks" turn the eggs twice a day. The students are loving the responsibility and being involved in such an awesome experience!
